We needed to show people how easy it is to switch KiwiBank, and inject entertainment in to a seemingly boring message.
We created a bespoke You Tube channel parodying the game ‘Black Ops’ called ‘KiwiBank Green Ops’. Styled like a first person POV game, you became part of an elite switch team whose mission was to rescue customers from bad banking experiences. Interactive videos led you to puzzles, surprise reveals and social objects to help spread the word.
Switching numbers averaged 200+ per week for the first four weeks – [6x higher than before the campaign] Switching applications over the course of the campaign – more than triple campaign objective.
